A first-of-its-kind in India, MTHL Bridge has 4KM steel span section called Orthotropic Steel Decks (OSD) in the middle to allow the ships to pass. WestCoastal has carried out rapid cure spray applied system based on Methacrylate resin systems. Britdex MDP is a tough, seamless membrane with no vulnerable joints & resistant to oil, fuel etc making the surface waterproof.
It was challenging task to work on a open sea deck with controlled parameter’s such as Humidity, Due point, surface temperature of steel and required profile by abrasive Shot blasting the surface.
